5.1.4 OpenShift
The IBM Cloud Pak for Multicloud Management runs on Red Hat OpenShift. The components installed, include the Red Hat OpenShift management.
The default services are installed as listed:
• Console
• Governance, risk, and compliance
• Global search
• Cluster management
• Application management
• IBM Cloud Platform Common Services
• License Advisor
• Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management
5.1.5 VMware
Cloud access can be installed from an on-premise VMware Workstation Pro Linux system as shown in Chapter 4, Installation Downloads, Section 4.2.2, Kubernetes, with the use of IBM Cloud CLI.
A search on the IBM Cloud Dashboard shows the list of VMware Solutions, including access to Bare Metal Servers.
Note: This is a pay-as-you-go service
5.1.6 Blockchain
Searching for Blockchain in the IBM Cloud dashboard gives the list of Blockchain platforms and related services. The IBM Cloud Blockchain is a pay-as-you-go cloud platform.
As of January 2022, the charge is $0.29/per Virtual Core Processor hour. There is currently a $200 credit offered by IBM on this cost, so giving around 690 hours of free use.

5.1.7 Managed solutions
There is an IBM Cloud shell available at the link:

This provides a command level window to allow you to run some IBM procedures. The Cloud shell session provides a workspace that includes 500 MB of temporary storage. The session is automatically closed after an hour of inactivity. There is also a 50-hour weekly usage limit.
Usage can be reviewed from the usage quota in the Cloud shell menu. The IBM Cloud CLI interface can be entered by entering ibmcloud as a command.

Tip: Enter ibmcloud to use the IBM Cloud CLI. The Frankfurt (eu-de) region is targeted by default. You can switch the region by running ibmcloud target -r .
Note: Enter exit to end a CLI session.
There is also a managed security solutions service package from IBM. Managed network security services provide the following:
• Security monitoring with analysis of security device alerts and logs
• IBM assistance in preventing malicious attacks
• Advanced analysis using AI systems and alerts for investigation
• Security Reports for security management
• Access to the IBM X-Force threat analysis service
Managed network security services support a number of established vendor platforms including hardware devices and virtual software installed on-premise, or on Cloud systems such as AWS, Azure & IBM cloud, for example, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
