5.1 IBM Cloud Pak systems

5.1.1 Storage creation
Storage can be created using the logged-in IBM Cloud Dashboard. Then, on the bottom left of the Dashboard, select Storage, shown in Figure 5.1:

This gives the following web page (resource list – IBM Cloud) https://cloud.ibm.com/resources. This page shows any existing Storage already created.
On the top right of the resources page, select the Create resource command and on the next web page displayed (Catalog – IBM Cloud) https://cloud.ibm.com/catalog the required resources are displayed in a menu of IBM Cloud products.
Select the Storage item from the Category list. On the next page (Catalog – IBM Cloud), https://cloud.ibm.com/catalog?category=storage scroll down and select the required filters available on the left-hand side panel, shown in Figure 5.2:

For example, this just shows the Free IBM Cloud Storage options. Select other filters to choose the required storage type you need. With Free and EU Supported filters set, there is only one Storage type available. This is the IBM Object Storage option which can now be selected to allocate the free IBM Cloud storage, illustrated in Figure 5.3:

Click on the panel shown above in Figure 5.3. Click Create to create the required storage. This displays the list of free storage allowances.
Note: You can only have one Free IBM Cloud Storage resource.
